On Thursday 30th June, RSA employees in Horsham were entertained for the afternoon by the 1940’s wartime and swing music duo, Swingtime Sweethearts. The music was accompanied by the sale of muffins, all of which was in aid of the Dame Vera Lynn Trust as part of the Horsham 100 campaign.

The event swung into action at 11am when the glamorous Swingtime Sweethearts, Anne and Le’arna, sent us back in time with their set of 40s wartime classic hits, which included many songs by the trust’s president Dame Vera Lynn.

Throughout the afternoon, RSA staff were also able to buy delicious cakes which were generously donated by Helen Doyle, Science and Cookery Technician at Windlesham House School.

The Horsham 100 campaign launched this May with the aim of bringing together an array of businesses in and around Horsham to help raise crucial funds each year for a chosen charity. This year the project selected The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy, a more than worthwhile charity offering a specialist service to educate and support the families of children with disabilities.

Horsham 100 has already hosted a whole range of events over the past few months, generating as many funds as possible to reach their £100,000 target, with many more to come throughout the year including a challenging 100k sponsored walk in September.

Horsham 100 is grateful for the money donated by those at RSA.
